Making invoices

Fill out the invoice template with your business details, client info, line items, tax, and notes. The editor closely matches what the finished invoice will look like. When required fields are missing, they'll be highlighted before you generate the PDF.

Downloading invoices

Use Download Invoice to save a PDF. If something looks wrong, go back and edit the template, then download again. If you don't see the file right away, check your browser's Downloads folder.

Downloaded invoices can be remembered in your browser's local storage so you can reopen them later from History. Clearing browser data may remove those saved invoices, so keep a backup of important PDFs.

History & deleted invoices

Past invoices appear on the History page. You can search and filter by status, soft-delete individual invoices, or clear history. Deleted invoices stay under the Deleted filter so you can restore them if needed.

Customizing the template

If you use the generator often, save your template preferences so they load next time. Typical saved details include:

  • Field titles

Where are invoices stored?

Downloaded invoices — Saved in your browser's local storage on this device. We don't keep server copies of those PDFs. Clearing site data removes them and they can't be recovered.

Sent invoices — When sending is available through an account, invoices can be stored securely in the cloud so you and your client can open them later.
